Did John Legend Just Troll Kelsea Ballerini on The Voice? What Really Happened

Despite being a fresh addition to The Voice show, Kelsea Ballerini demonstrates strong prowess as a coach through her ability to maintain composure even when receiving teasing from her colleague coaches. On the February 10th episode, John Legend learned from direct experience that minimizing Kelsea Ballerini’s Voice participation would not increase his chances of attracting an artist.
Of all auditions in the Blind Audition, Tatum Scott emerged from High Poi, not North Carol, ina to deliver Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo. Having her Nashville base along with matching jeans since Scott performed in Nashville made Kelsea Ballerini an obvious choice for a team member. The previous chair-t, under Lege, attempted to capitalize on his position alongside Kelsea Ballerini but emphasized that she hit her button after his initial response.
“Kelsea’s never done this show before. This is just a fact. This is not criticism,” he added,
But Ballerini wasn’t backing down. Kelsea Ballerini stressed to Scott the fact that she was the only female Coach of this season since it finally convinced him to pick her team. The selection of Team Kelsea by Scott created disbelief from Legend. His interaction with the showrunners revealed he had a single singer on his team while experiencing a challenging period.
The Other Coaches Can’t Stop Teasing Kelsea Ballerini
John Legend uses Kelsea Ballerini as his target for entertainment-based humiliation throughout the competition. Ballerini began facing teasing right at the start of Season 27 during the Blind Auditions through her text exchange. Adam Levine directly confronted her while sounding similar to her higher-toned vocal expression.
What’s the Deal With Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes?
Kelsea Ballerini is currently texting Chase Stokes, who plays in Outer Bank, while being in a relationship since two years ago. During Call Her Daddy, she disclosed that her first attempt to reach out to him was to enter a message through his Instagram Direct Message feature.
“I’ve never seen his show, but I just knew of him, and I just swan dove right on in…” Ballerini shared. “I was ready to open back up. I just felt, why not? I’ve never really dated; I don’t know how it works. I’m like, ‘Let’s just put ourselves out there; let’s just vibe.’ And it’s been fun.”
Despite the teasing, Kelsea Ballerini is proving that she’s more than capable of competing with the Voice veterans—and maybe even winning it all.
