Former TV star of Home Improvement fame Brad Taylor aka Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested on Thursday in Myrtle Beach South Carolina on a count of second-degree domestic violence. The former actor, 43, is still in prison; the amount of money for the release has been set to $10000.
A Troubled Legal History
This is an added list of a legal nature to a growing list of official malaise that affects Zachery Ty Bryan. In October he got arrested in Oklahoma for the drink and driving; while having no valid license driving. Earlier in the year he was arrested for felony DUI and misdemeanor contempt of court charges.
Zachery Ty Bryan has also, on several occasions, been accused of domestic violence over the years. He was arrested in 2021 in Oregon for felony assault and third-degree robbery after an incident in 2020 in which he purportedly choked his then-girlfriend.
It captures that he was imprisoned for some time and put on probation after he pleaded guilty to an assault charge. Nevertheless, Zachery Ty Bryan and the woman, Johnny Faye Cartwright, got married in 2021, and the couple is blessed with three children. But the legal problems remained, with another arrest for domestic assault in July of 2023.

Zachery Ty Bryan began his acting career as the character Brad Taylor, the eldest son of Tim Allen’s character on the TV series Home Improvement. He was a regular cast member of this show for 8 years, from the tender age of nine to thirteen. During this period, Bryan also acted in motion pictures, including First Kid, and guest starred on television in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Reading Rainbow.
Following the end of Home Improvement, Zachery Ty Bryan continued acting with roles in The Fast and the Furious: Energy Crises, The Twilight Zone, Tokyo Drift, Smallville, Veronica Mars, and Burn Notice. However, he left acting in 2009 and has ventured into other areas of production. As Zachery Ty Bryan’s legal woes build, they loom over the potential of a bright once-gilded Hollywood career at its peak. It is still yet to be seen what will happen to him as he reaps what he has sown in the last couple of weeks.
