During the New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat game at Madison Square Garden, Tracy Morgan endured a disappointing evening when he seemed to get sick while watching near the court. Fans who attended the game reported on social media that Morgan became ill during the match as he sat close to the court and vomited on the floor.
Event witnesses observed security officials removing the comedian from the arena through a wheelchair as he held a white cloth with apparent blood spots in front of his face. Several spectators believed he was experiencing a nosebleed at that time. Staff needed approximately ten minutes to attend to the comedian when this incident took place during the third quarter of the play.
A Swift Response and Well Wishes
The representative of Madison Square Garden released a short announcement regarding the event, saying,
“We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.”
As of now, Tracy Morgan’s team has not responded to requests for comment regarding his condition or what may have caused his sudden illness.
Tracy Morgan’s History of Health Challenges
It marks the second time that the 55-year-old comedian has encountered a public health issue. In 2012, Tracy Morgan experienced a collapse outside a Park City, Utah, building during his attendance at the Sundance Film Festival. The comedian responded to this incident by lightly mentioning Superman confronting a minor piece of Kryptonite material.
The elevation in Utah gave this New York-based teenager a major state of confusion. The collapse happened because of exhaustion combined with altitude sickness according to his publicist at that time. The incident did not slow Morgan down as he resumed work at 30 Rock following his collapse. Tracy Morgan fought diabetes while completing his kidney transplant procedure in 2010.
A Near-Fatal Car Accident
Tracy Morgan faced one of his most famous health challenges through a terrible car crash that occurred in 2014. A Walmart truck crashed into the limousine where Morgan traveled along New Jersey Turnpike causing multiple severe injuries to his body and breaking his leg. He spent two weeks in unconsciousness before beginning his recovery which required him to learn both walking and speaking again. His friend James McNair became one of the casualties during the fatal accident which he survived.
A Recent SNL Appearance
The tragic car accident did not prevent Tracy Morgan from actively participating in the entertainment business. A short time ago, he marked his comeback in Saturday Night Live by gracing the stage during its 50th anniversary special. People following his recovery notice that Tracy Morgan has previously faced major challenges, yet he has proven capable of recovery time after time.
