Saudi sources indicate Prince Harry faces intense remorse about moving to the U.S. because he now dwells there with his wife Meghan Markle together with their kids Archie and Lilibet. Multiple sources near the Duke of Sussex have revealed he experiences limited close friendship in the United States despite his active circle of connections in Britain.
A Drastic Social Change
Before his marriage to Meghan Markle, Prince Harry at 40 actively led an outgoing social life as many friends knew him in Great Britain. Harry spent many evening events with friends while he also enjoyed outdoor skiing activities and followed his preferred rugby team matches with his closest group.
Life in California brought major changes which transformed his network of friends. Prince Harry stated through his 2022 Netflix documentary that he has parted ways with some friends since relocating to the United States. A confidant of the Duke reports his friend currently bears the burden of having lost friends.
Missing His Old Life?
On of the Royal Family insider revealed that:
“Harry regrets closing the door on his mates. He misses the boozing, the skiing, and attending rugby matches with the lads.”
The source further explained that Prince Harry has struggled to find the same camaraderie in the United States.
“He simply doesn’t have that kind of friendship group in the United States, and that’s a shame,” the insider added.
Does Prince Harry Want to Return to the UK?
Despite these claims, Prince Harry appears to remain committed to his new life. While traveling to Canada for the Invictus Games, the Duke recently expressed satisfaction with his life in America, stating in a December 2024 interview:
“I very much enjoy living here and bringing my kids up here.”
Prince Harry demonstrated through his statements that he will not stay permanently in the UK given increasing speculation about his feelings toward his home country.
Legal Trouble on the Horizon?
The extended period that Prince Harry stays in the United States could face legal examination by authorities. Harry faces legal scrutiny through a Washington D.C. federal court lawsuit that fights to expose his unpublicized U.S. visa information. A pending legal proceeding might verify if Prince Harry received a valid U.S. visa when issued to him.
His previous confession of drug use that appears in his memoir Spare risks jeopardizing his ability to stay in the country according to visa requirements. At this moment the Duke sustains his commitment to living in America. The concerns about his social isolation alongside potential legal issues present a real chance that his American dream might transform into a catastrophic reality.
