Musician Lenny Kravitz was a live show performer on New Year’s Eve for the time of New Year Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve in Times Square to welcome the year 2025. Performing alongside Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Blake Shelton, Alanis Morissette and Carrie Underwood, Kravitz’s performance looked visually stunning taking place in the middle of New York City.

Lenny Kravitz also entertained the attendees with such a combination of what the audience has loved about him and the songs he has recently included in his album Blue Electric Light, which was produced in May 2024. It was a pleasant and warm sound identified with the music of the year, shared by the audience, and the album contained positive energy throughout the evening. He is great in his live rendition with the highlight being the performance of “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” which is my favorite when it comes to heat- the crowd was also on the same wavelength, and it seemed fit for celebration upon completion.
The music lineup the band played through included a myriad of musical styles night. Even though pop artists performed at the show, country singers Megan Moroney and Thomas Rhett also sang at the show, alongside pop artists Renee Rapp, Kesha, and the Jonas Brothers. Other talent included hip-hop pioneers such as T-Pain, as well as well-known groups like TLC and newer artists such as overseas sensations Tinashe. The event was hosted by Ryan Seacrest, in Times Square with performances by Rita Ora, Rob Gronkowski, and Jeannie Mai tuning in to the event from different parts of the globe.

This was especially moving when, after accepting the award, he dedicated it to his late mother, Roxie Roker who, he claimed, had attended the VMAs with him in 1993. Recalling moments together on stage, Kravitz paid tribute to her in her honor and, of course, wrote an emotional message on the web.
