King Charles Shares a Lighthearted Moment While Supporting Future Nurses

King Charles keeps up with his royal obligations even during cancer treatment by joining the celebration for the 1,000th Royal College of Nursing (RCN) King’s Nursing Cadet.

While visiting the Royal College of Nursing, the 76-year-old King Charles experienced an unusual moment when he tried to perform CPR on a simulation dummy. During the mannequin exam, the prince found it hard not to laugh through his attempts at CPR, which brought brief humor to the demonstration.
Through his work with King Charles’s Nursing Cadet Scheme, the demonstration became a necessary component of the program that Charles created during his time as Prince of Wales. Through this initiative, young individuals receive crucial abilities to launch their careers in healthcare.
Supporting the Next Generation of Healthcare Workers
Through the King’s Nursing Cadet Scheme young people aged from 16 to 25 can develop healthcare experience through direct practice in medical facilities. Therapy training consists of 40 classroom hours and 20 hours of hospital patient observation periods. The program awards participants with a certificate that validates their accomplishment after they finish.
During his appearance, King Charles spoke with British cadets who were both present in the program at the moment and who had already finished its requirements. Through the scheme students obtain an important base when they consider nursing or medical career paths.
