K-Pop Star Wheesung Found Dead at Home – Industry in Shock

The K-pop entertainment industry and music fans expressed deep sadness after an outstanding musician and songwriter named Wheesung was discovered unresponsive in his Seoul home on a Monday evening. Tajoy Entertainment released an official announcement to confirm that the pop star Wheesung had passed away.

“The artist Wheesung has left us. He was found in cardiac arrest at his residence and was later pronounced dead.”

The South Korean music scene welcomed Wheesung to the stage in 2002 through his R&B album Like a Movie, and shortly after, he found widespread popularity among fans. His music career met difficulties during 2021 when he was convicted for unlawful use of the powerful sedative propofol. His one-year suspended prison term due to the medical use of propofol off-prescription caused major damage to his public reputation.

Those trying to resuscitate him discovered after multiple attempts that he had passed away at the location.
