The legal representation of Sean Diddy presented an aggressive claim that he faces unfair treatment through biased racial prosecution techniques in what they call a “clear case of selective prosecution.”
Facing Serious Charges Without Bail
Sean Diddy waits behind bars without bail following his arrest because a conviction could lead to at least 15 years of imprisonment. The court has accused him of committing sex trafficking crimes together with racketeering offenses and fraudulent activities. The legal documents show Diddy’s team requesting dismissal of transportation to engage in prostitution charges based on discrimination against racial minorities.
Legal Team Points to Racist History of The Mann Act
The legal defense for Sean Diddy maintains that The Mann Act of 1910 developed a record of targeting African American men, and his client represents the newest person affected by this discriminatory legislation.
“No white person has ever been the target of a remotely similar prosecution,” his lawyers wrote, emphasizing that the statute was originally created under the White-Slave Traffic Act—a law they claim was designed to “protect white women from Black men.”
The defense maintains the charges against Sean Diddy are false alongside evidence that stems primarily from reports he and his girlfriends sometimes engaged male escorts for personal time.
According to Sean Diddy’s defense team, the practice of inviting escorts matches the prevailing norms of present-day American society, although he remains the target of biased prosecution. According to their defense, the case was initiated exclusively because he is an influential Black man.
A History of Allegations
Prosecutors categorized Sean Diddy as someone who has repeatedly abused individuals in their investigations. Legal proceedings state that Diddy planned “freak-offs” by giving drugs to women before compelling them into bizarre sexual activities. Several violent incidents involving assaults have been accused against the defendant, including both visual evidence showing him assaulting ex-partner Cassie Ventura along reports of him holding someone above a balcony.
The legal team of Sean Diddy asserts that he is wrongly charged because he faces prosecution under a historical law that had racist foundations. The Southern District of New York has not yet addressed Sean Diddy’s most recent legal filing which puts his current status at incarceration until their determination is presented.
