It is getting closer to the debut of the Apple iPhone 17 Pro/ iPhone 17 Pro Max, and there are new leaks on camera enhancements and design tweaks. Here is an in-depth look at what to anticipate in the new generation of devices.
Enhanced Selfie and Rear Cameras
This will not be a surprise because, as previously reported, the front and rear camera arrangements will be the same for both models with a massive improvement to the front camera. The Selfie Camera is said to receive a hike to 24 MP, which means the shots will be clear and detailed.
On the back, the Pro models will include a 48 MP main lens with a 1/1.3-inch sensor alongside a 48 MP ultrawide lens and a 48 MP telephoto lens with 5X optical zoom from a periscope style setup. While the main sensor will be a tad smaller than in models for iPhone 16 Pro, the periscopic telephoto lens will have more detailed images and better zoom.
Incremental Camera Improvements
The updates look small if seen from the prism of the iPhone 16 Pro series; there are no earth-shattering innovations here, only improvements. Nonetheless, Apple will probably highlight such novelties during the launch event planned for September.
There are still many questions about the © design of the rear camera setup. It seems they have a horizontal camera island arrangement, which matches prior rumors. However, this last conceptual design is still likely to be defined before March while still allowing for flexibility.
Awaiting the Launch
With the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max set for release soon, fans want to know how Apple will market these changes. While it is impossible to determine whether these minor improvements are enough to warrant an upgrade, they definitely pave the way for another monumental event this coming September.
