Through an online post Grimes revealed how she continues her efforts to shield her three children from public attention by endlessly asking Elon Musk for their privacy.
Grimes Speaks Out on Privacy Concerns
Through an X (formerly known as Twitter) post the 36-year-old musician shared her worries following her response to a counterfeit internet post. As a fan asked Grimes about protecting her children from internet attention she showed her utter helplessness regarding the matter.
“I unfortunately do not control the internet and cannot wipe this from the internet,” she wrote. “I have begged the public and my kids’ dad to keep them offline, and I’ve even tried legal recourse.”
A Growing Fear for Her Children’s Well-being
Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, emphasized how deeply this issue troubles her.
“The state of my children’s lives being public is of grave concern to me, and I think about how to solve this every day,” she admitted.
She also expressed frustration over the lack of legal protection for children when it comes to privacy, stating,
“I would hope there was some law that would allow a parent to veto small children from living public lives.”
Elon Musk’s Public Appearances With Their Son
Grimes has already publicly discussed how her children were revealed to the public previously. In February, Elon Musk brought X Æ A-Xii to the Oval Office, and the child met Donald Trump while the president was still in power. Grimes gained knowledge about this incident by chance through an ethereal X network user.
“He should not be in public like this… I did not see this, thank u for alerting me,” she responded at the time.
Since the beginning, Grimes has consistently emphasized privacy concerns for her children. According to Time magazine Grimes made an appeal to individuals regarding the unauthorized sharing of images featuring her children.
“I would really like people to stop posting images of my kid everywhere… Fame is something you should consent to,” she said.

Since their split in September 2021, Grimes and Elon Musk have three children together. Grimes, along with Musk, has frequently mentioned their initial child yet continues to maintain tight privacy control around their other offspring, which she maintains to this day. The future of her desires regarding her children’s privacy remains uncertain because Elon Musk has not promised any adherence to her requests.
