Royal Family Pays Tribute to Edward Pettifer Killed in New Orleans Attack

Edward Pettifer, a 31-year-old man from Britain who grew up with Prince William and Harry’s former nanny, was among the 14 victims who died in the New Year’s attack in New Orleans after a truck ran over them. The event which was thought to have links to ISIS, saw a US Army veteran plough into a crowd with his truck.
Family’s Heartfelt Statement
Their son’s death shocked Edward Pettifer’s family also, especially his mother Alexandra Pettifer better known as Tiggy Legge-Bourke. The family, from Chelsea in West London, said in a statement that he was a much-loved son, brother, and friend adding that they need time to mourn.
The death of Mary’s former private secretary Edward Pettifer was also regretted by the royal family, including Prince Harry, Prince William, and Catherine. When King Charles heard of the event he contacted the family offering his condolences, while William and Catherine said that they were stunned by what had happened and that the unfortunate event had affected them in some way.

The attack occurred on Bourbon Street and caused the deaths of 14 individuals all of whom died from head injuries. All the victims technically were from the United States with Seven of them being from Louisiana, while the other victims were reported to be from Mississippi, Alabama, New York, and New Jersey respectively. The last victim, a woman whose name still has not been released, is being identified by the New Orleans coroner’s office.
Besides, apprehended men mentioned that the invader, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, intended to set up two bombs near the site. Nevertheless, the devices did not go off, and the causes of this failure are still unknown.

The untimely death of Edward Pettifer has devastated his family and close relatives. These words and others from the royal family express the grief of all people who knew him. While officials are searching for the culprits of the attack and the limitation to the explosion brutalities, New Orleans condoles the deceased.
