Within Disney’s official plot description, Freakier Friday reveals itself as the story that follows the teenage years of Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) after their body exchange. As an adult, Anna manages both daughter parenthood along with the responsibility of raising a new stepdaughter.
“As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice,” the synopsis teases.

Filming Wrapped—And the Cast Is Just as Excited as Fans
In a March 2024 interview with People magazine, Lohan confirmed the film was in progress. By August, shooting had officially wrapped.
“It’s our last Monday on the set of Freakier Friday, and my heart is so full,” Lohan shared on Instagram. She also took a moment to praise Curtis, calling her “a joy” to work with.

The sequel brings back Lohan and Curtis as well as their movie companions Harmon, Murray, and Christina Vidal Mitchell.
