Bad Bunny closed the legendary 50th season of Saturday Night Live with powerful singing from his new album Debí Tirar Más Fotos (I Should Have Taken More Photos).
Actress Scarlett Johansson hosted the show and Bad Bunny was the musical guest, taking the stage as a Puerto Rican superstar. This event continues to add to his relationship with SNL.
The same ideas are communicated in new forms.
The night began with Nuevayol played by MONACO, a reflective song from his latest hat dropped earlier this year. In the next part of the performance, he reappeared to perform Perfumito Nuevo, demonstrating both his sense of vulnerability and his whimsical style.
Just by singing two songs, Bad Bunny gave the crowd nostalgia, melancholy and pure energy, perfectly reflecting the style of his last record.
A Place Well Known, Influence Increasing
Bad Bunny has already made appearances on the show before. He was a musical guest for the first time in February 2021 and returned in October 2023 to both perform and host, a special accomplishment for any act.
Some fans will remember that he also had a brief part in the Saturday Night Live at Home episode seen in April 2020. Afterward, Pedro’s connection with the show grew stronger and this season, he even joined the current cast in some sketches.
Big Year Ahead: Is He Saying Goodbye?
His performance on SNL was a major success and could be just the first of many to come—or just the end of a memorable career. The busy year will start with Bad Bunny in Puerto Rico, performing concert after concert as part of his residency, No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí.
After that, he’s set for an international stadium tour that begins in late November and ends in 2026. Because he has an album titled I Should Have Taken More Photos and a residency named I Don’t Want to Leave Here, some are curious: Could Bad Bunny be making an exit or simply planning something different?
