Actor Alan Ritchson has gained attention through his desire to portray Batman because of the previous speculations connecting him to the DC superhero role. Ritchson refuted all suggestions that pointed to his involvement in James Gunn’s future DC projects. Both fans and members of his cast support Ritchson as the best potential candidate for Batman despite directorial rebukes.
Reacher Co-Star Praises Ritchson’s Batman Potential
Roberto Montesinos who plays Villanueva in the Reacher series recently explained why Alan Ritchson (42 years old) would make a fantastic Batman. According to Screen Rant when Montesinos spoke about Ritchson he emphasized how the actor demonstrated the characteristics needed for Gotham’s brooding vigilante.
“First of all, his work ethic, his research, his command of a character,”
Montesinos explained. Ritchson portrayed Reacher in a way that mirrored Batman’s approach according to Montesinos as the character constantly observes people and places in Lee Child’s books the same way Bruce Wayne does.
A Face That Tells a Story
According to Montesinos Ritchson displayed excellent emotional communication through his facial expressions which matches Batman’s characteristic of using silence as a powerful tool for communication. Montesinos heard that Ritchson informed him once.
“Every movement of your eye indicates to the audience a new thought.”
This level of control and precision in acting is what makes Ritchson stand out as a strong contender for the Caped Crusader.
“He Would Be the Best Batman We’ve Ever Had”
The Zombie Farm actor didn’t hold back in his praise for Ritchson, boldly stating:
“I think he would be the best Batman we’ve ever had. We’ve had some good ones, but I think he would be the best Batman we’ve ever had.”
His declaration rings powerfully when evaluated against all the eminent actors who have played Batman from Christian Bale through to Robert Pattinson.
Ritchson’s Own Batman Dreams
During an interview, Ritchson admitted he would accept the Batman role without any compensation because he desired the part so much. DC Studios has yet to consider Ritchson for the role but thanks to his increasing popularity and outstanding talent he could become a leading candidate in upcoming Batman casting choices.
Alan Ritchson shows potential to become the upcoming iconic Dark Knight according to his claims. Time will reveal the answer but his characteristics point to an outstanding performance as Batman.
